In today’s competitive market, companies must work closely with their customers and suppliers if they want to survive and improve their own performance and to provide a better response to market forces. In a typical supply chain, information flow is more important than the other two involved flows including material flow and cash flow. It can be lead to enhance organizational knowledge. The main purpose of the research, is to identify, analyse and improve the performance of an assembly line using simulation techniques. Many factors, such as setup time, operating time, failure rate, repair rate, and production rate, can cause data to be non-stationary. Therefor, in order to analyse such complicated systems it is necessary to apply simulation techniques. The most important properties of an assembly line including bottlenecks, cycle time, buffers capacities, and the number of finished products in a given time period are investigated in the research. After data gathering, and building an appropriate simulation model, the simulation experiments were done with Enterprise Dynamic software. The simulation model is implemented and tested against real-world data and is demenostrated by a numerical example. Then, the bottlenecks and performance measures including throughput time and waiting time are identified and analysed in order to develop a new scenario in which opportunities for improvements are presented. The results show significant improvements in terms of reducing waiting time and increasing efficiencies. Manuscript profile

These days, high growth and rapid changes in technology on the one hand, and the utilization of new approaches emerged in the economy and management literature on the other, make knowledge resources become more important than other organizational resources. This viewpoint is based on two main sources; one of them is IT resource and the other is human resource. This kind of attitude to these sources leads to two different approaches of knowledge management: one is related to IT resource and the other is related to human resource. In the investigations about the causes of failure in the most knowledge management projects in knowledge-based organizations, human resource and IT resource approaches are studied separately. In this paper, by these approaches, not only has been the causes of failure in knowledge management projects investigated, but also the importance of these approaches has been studied, too. The study shows that the technology and its benefits cannot be ignored. At the same time, for making organizations less formal, non- technological resource (human resource) management should be at the helm of management priorities. In order to use technology advantages while avoiding its disadvantages, organizations' knowledge resource management should pay attention to the alignment between its technology and human resources. Furthermore, studies show that network infrastructures (extranet, intranet and internet) can provide a proper environment for human resource management. Manuscript profile

Business intelligence (BI) is the tool used by enterprises to collect, manage and analyze structural and non-structural data and also information by taking advantage of modern information technology. It utilizes a substantial amount of collected data during the daily operational processes, and transforms the data into information and knowledge to avoid the supposition and ignorance of the enterprises. In the last decade, Business intelligence has evolved as one of the critical applications in organizations to provide useful insight, support decision-making, and drive organizational performance. However, to avoid the ineffective experiences during the deployment, it is important to clarify the impact factors of a BI system and find out a Suitable assessment method to evaluate the performance of BI systems. Evaluating the effectiveness of business intelligence systems is vital to our understanding of the value and efficacy of management actions and investments. This research is a descriptive survey. We construct an Assessment model to assess the performance of business intelligence systems based on the outcomes of previous researches. Furthermore, an expert questionnaire using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to filter out useful performance indicators. The analytic hierarchy process is a structured technique for organizing and analyzing complex decisions. Finally, we analyze a real case by using the constructed assessment model for Business Intelligence systems. We choose an automotive parts manufacturer as a case. The survey sample population consisted of 66 randomly taken employees and managers of the case. The results indicate that the performance of Business Intelligence system in our case was suitable. Knowledge Management and Human Resources Management are two significant fields in Organization Management. Despite the vast literature available on each of them, their putting into practice is indeed challenging. On the one hand, Knowledge Management is considered as an additional work procedure in some organizations mainly due to the intangibility of the value which it adds to the system in the short run. On the other hand, in some other organizations, Human Resources Management is reduced to personnel management and handling the employees official tasks. Therefore its principles such as employees' performance appraisal, leading in most cases to the achievement of organizational goals, are exploited as a means for either encouraging or punishing the employees. This research aims at defining a framework, through studying the different aspects of Knowledge Management and Human Resources Management, in which these two fields interactively produce a combinatory system which helps them effectively flourish and brings about their overlapping so that they can compensate for each field's deficiencies. The best way to achieve competence in global market is through planning and upgrading core competencies. Not only will the knowledge economy change the experience of workers, but organizations and countries must also rethink their economic strategies. How well an individual, an organization, an industry, a country does in acquiring and applying knowledge will become the key competitive factor. An organization with a good sense of KM has the potential to create significant value, but only if it is linked to its overall strategy and strategic decisions. Knowledge management (KM) is the latest strategy in increasing organizational competitiveness. The concept of treating organizational knowledge as a valuable strategic asset has recently become extremely common. KM efforts have been primarily focused on developing new applications of information technology, complemented to a lesser degree with implementing new organizational forms. The link between knowledge and business strategy has basically been overlooked. Thus KM has unfortunately developed into a matter of information technology primarily, followed by one of organizational behavior with business strategy generally not even considered. The purpose of present paper is to identify the relationship between KM and the firm's competitive advantage. In the first section the pertinent literature related to knowledge management and its impact on the competitive advantage of the firm was examined. Then the Porter's (1979) five forces model and Wernerfelt's (1984) Resource-based view of the firm were reviewed. In the next section the link between KM and strategy formulation by drawing on the resource-based view of the firm is addressed. In the last section the strategic reference points (SRPs) theory has been introduced and applied for classifying the KM strategies. Manuscript profile

This paper explains the nature of integration between knowledge management (KM) and Business Intelligence (BI). There has been some confusion as to the relationship between KM and BI. BI mainly focuses on explicit knowledge, but KM encompasses both tacit and explicit knowledge. Both of them promote learning, decision- making and understanding. KM influences BI through organizational knowledge creation, knowledge transfer and learning. Therefore, this paper defines BI as a part of KM by evaluating importance of their integration. As this relationship improves right decision-making in organizations and their performance because of the rise and fall of the economic environment, enterprises need to adjust their policies and strategies rapidly in order to respond to sophistication of competitors, customers and suppliers. Information is known as the main key for enterprises so integrating Business Intelligence and Knowledge management are used not only for saving suitable information for enterprise but also for improving performance and process of activities in organizations. Management experts have considered knowledge management, in the course of the past several years, as a managerial solution and have recommended, to the managers, the application of its tools for increasing the enterprise efficiency. This point should be also mentioned that prior to the current development of knowledge management literature, knowledge management existed in enterprises in traditional ways. Definitely the effective development of new knowledge management tools in these enterprises must be firstly based on the same traditional tools, in order to improve them, and secondly these tools must conform to the enterprises' structure- and also the elements of this structure. One of the most crucial elements of this structure is technology level; however, it is needless to mention that knowledge management tools for low-tech enterprises are different from those for high-tech enterprises. The advent of information and communication technology (ICT) and the use of these advances by human societies has duality effects on electrical energy consumption. First, the use of information and communication technology has led to the replacement of new technologies with old technologies and thus improves the efficiency of electricity consumption and, consequently, reduces their consumption (substitution effect). Second, installation, commissioning and operation of new information and communication technology equipment will increase demand for electricity (income effect). Therefore, the overall effect of information and communication technology on electricity consumption is a function of one of the effects. Accordingly, in this paper, the relationship between the use of information and communication technology and electricity consumption in a group of selected developing countries during the period of 1994-2015 was studied. For this purpose, the dynamic panel model with the PMG approach was used. The results presented in two separate models show that increasing the use of information and communication technology will increase per capita consumption of electricity energy in both short and long term in selected developing countries. Also, the results show that in selected developing countries, economic growth is the cause of electricity consumption, while there is a one-way causality relationship between information and communication technology and electricity consumption and economic growth. The current world is the world of change and transformation. According to the special position of the steel industry in Iran and around the world, in order to grow Khuzestan steel, the expansion of exports needs to be a priority for the organization. In order to meet the priorities of the organization, it is necessary to take steps to create organizational agility, because global developments are facing significant speed and progress, and if Khuzestan Steel (KSC) lags behind these developments, it will not be able to offer its products well in foreign markets. Therefore, relying on knowledge creation and personnel training, it will outperform competitors in rapid changes in the market of competition and customers demand. In this study, the impact of exports and change management on organizational agility with respect to the mediating role of knowledge management with the principal component analysis (PCA) approach is reviewed. The present study is descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of this study is all employees of Khuzestan Steel Company, which are 389 people. All of them have worked from 1st of April 2019 to 1st of May 2020. In this study, 300 people have been considered to determine the sample size using Krejcie and Morgan (1960) table. Three types of evaluation validity were used to confirm the validity of the measurement tool, content validity, convergent validity, and divergent validity. The research data collection method is library and survey methods (field). Also, a questionnaire was used to collect data. SPSS and structural equations were used to analyze the data. The purpose of this research is to identify and prioritize the criteria of knowledge management systems using BSC. The research method is descriptive-survey and the type of applied developmental research is Friedman and AHP ranking tracking method. Statistical population included all experts and top managers of Pars Khodro Company (157 people) and sample size was 111 people based on Cochran formula. Data were collected using a questionnaire designed by previous studies and expert opinions. Content validity index (CVR) was used to determine the validity of the questionnaire and Cranach’s alpha coefficient of 0.728 was used to determine its reliability. Data were analyzed using SPSS and EXPERT CHOICE statistical software. The results showed that: BSC's vision is financial, customer, growth and learning and internal processes respectively. From the financial point of view, the CEO's financial knowledge is the highest and avoidance of duplication of costs is the lowest, and from the customer's perspective, the highest priority is to improve the quality of customer service and the customer's least. And change in the system is the least important of the improvements, and lastly, the internal process view has the least degree of effectiveness of the system in achieving the most desirable organizational objectives and document size. The purpose of this study is to present a localized content analysis model of four pillars of knowledge management based on the continuous change approach. This study is the practical research in terms of orientation. The statistical population includes academic experts and theoretical experts. Theoretical experts include university professors who are knowledgeable in the field of knowledge management. Experimental experts also include managers with more than 15 years of experience in the Export Development Bank. Non-probabilistic and purposeful methods have been used for sampling. The sampling process continued and finally 11 experts participated in this stage. Using qualitative analysis of grounded theory, a number of concepts of extraction and coding of indicators were performed. Following the research process and its quantitative part, by performing the fuzzy Delphi technique in 3 rounds, the criteria obtained from the qualitative analysis of the research were screened and validated. Then, ISM method was used to identify the relationships of the localized model of the four pillars of knowledge management based on the continuous change approach and to reflect the internal relationships between the criteria. Based on data analysis in the structural-interpretive modeling section, knowledge management (WM) is first level or dependent. The variables of organizational leadership (OL), organizational culture (OC), organizational technology (OT), organizational learning (LO) are the second level. The variable of continuous change (CC) is the third level. Finally, the variables of personal competence (SC), mental patterns (MP), shared vision (SV), team learning (TL), systemic thinking (ST) are in the fourth level. Manuscript profile
