This article reveals the relationship between psychological empowerment and organizational commitment of the employees of Mellat Bank in Tehran.
Although the meaning of empowerment has been the subject of great debate, its original meaning has been referred to as authorizing and to giving power to two employees. The psychological empowerment emphasizes employees' perceptions and cognitions. In full-paper the basic method of enquiry was through questionnaires. The article concludes with some suggestion aimed at raising employees' empowerment and commitment in Mellat Bank in Tehran.
