        In the paper effective individual and behavioral characteristics of the new technology based firms' managers in a supportive environment such as Science and Technology Parkas and Technology Incubators are investigated and based on the results of the research, effective individual and behavioral characteristics for success of these managers and also their companies are presented. Also, in this study, researchers have tried to determine effective characteristics and indicators which are used in selecting and appointing the managers of such firms, and therefore improve the process of managers' selection. Sample firms are located in Khorasan Science and Technology Park (KSTP) which is one of the new supportive environments in the country. For this study, among the multiple personality characteristics and features, six individual and behavioral indicators were selected and highlighted which include: 1) confidence, 2) leadership abilities, 3) creativity and innovation, 4) participation and devolution, 5) human relationship skills and 6) internal control. Selection of these individual and behavioral indicators and characteristics are based on the results of the other researches and studies. After determining these characteristics through the review of literature, an evaluation questionnaire was designed and distributed to sample firms' managers and necessary information was obtained. By analyzing these results, the effective indicators and characteristics for success of managers were identified. The results shows that the first and sixth hypotheses of the research hypotheses are correct, i.e. confidence and internal controls are most effective indicators for success of these firms' managers. This research has not considered Employees' satisfaction. Manuscript Document

The attention of managers must be focused on designing of the so called “Organizational intelligence” and intellectual abilities of an organization (organizational learning, communication and memory).         Knowledge is a valuable resource and strategic factor and also an asset. So providing good and qualified products and services without management and use of this valuable resource, is difficult and sometimes impossible. Knowledge management has become one of the most important activities in today's organizations to improve and maintain competitive advantage. The ultimate goal of knowledge management is the operation and development of knowledge assets to achieve the goals and create added value for the organization. It is obvious that knowledge management is crucial in the formulation of business strategy for gaining competitive advantage. Therefore identifying factors affecting the implementation of knowledge management based on business strategy is very important. In this study, 55 factors affecting the implementation of knowledge management extracted. Then by using Delphi method and the adoption of experts opinion, their relationships with business strategies were identified. On this basis, 35 factors in 6 dimensions were identified: Leadership, Strategic, Infrastructure, Structure, Cultural and Scientific Dimension. Among the identified dimensions, leadership dimension was more important than the other dimensions. Strategic and Scientific dimensions are the next one and 64 percent of the identified factors were confirmed. Manuscript Document

        Development of successful strategic marketing programs for the commercialization of new technology represents a challenge for small and medium sized technology-based firms. The mechanics of developing successful marketing strategies for technological innovations is a complex process from design to implementation. Technology-based SMEs play an important role in facilitating the ‘knowledge-based’ or ‘smart’ economies. However, technological superiority is not a guarantee for the success of a high-tech SMEs. Instead, the odds of success are maximized by a combination of technology superiority and marketing capability. In this paper, the characteristic of technology-oriented small and medium enterprises have examined according to the published key studies in the field of small and medium sized companies, the factors and barriers to the success of the companies mentioned briefly and given that marketing has been diagnosed as one of the success factors of technology-based small and medium enterprises, we reviewed the challenges and solutions of technology marketing to remind the managers of these companies that the success of a pure technology will not ensure the success of the company and marketing as one of the key elements and critical component of the success of technology-based small and medium enterprises should be a priority in their activities.
