  Science parks (SPs) are organizations bringing research and industry. Their aim is to promote culture of innovation of their associated businesses and knowledge-based institution. Given the increasing number of SPs that are being set out both in highly industrialized as well as developing countries, the problem of measuring the performance of science parks is becoming paramount both in practiontoners and academicians agenda. The present work is aimed at evaluating Iranian SPs that are members of IASP based on criteria the repercussion of the science park in the territory. Performance criteria that used are networking, convention and collaboration stipulated between science park lab’s and local firms, new products and processes adopted by local firms and developed by the collaboration with the science park, number of firms born by the collaboration with the science park within re-industrializations programmes of abandoned industrial areas, number of workers employed in firms originated from the collaboration with science park and number of environmental improvement carried out in collaboration with science park’s lab. In This study these criteria are localized based on Iranian SPs circumstances. FAHP is applied to determine the relative weights of the evaluation criteria and FTOPSIS is applied to rank the alternatives. Science parks’ rank order of performance in these criteria is as follows: Isfahan STP> Fars STP> Khorasan STP> University of Tehran STP> Arac STP> Persian Gulf STP> Pardis STP> East Azarbaijan STP> Yazd STP> Guilan STP> Kerman STP> Hamedan STP> Kermanshah STP.   These days, organizations environment has become more competitive. According to business researchers, achieving a competitive position for the company is possible only by the proper business model. A successful business model indicates a better option so that it can offer greater value to a distinct group of customers and bring greater benefits to the company. At the start of a business, failure to identify an appropriate business model, leads to the failure of organizations to achieving its goals. Despite the importance of this issue, there is no standard for the definitions and components of business models. Hence, in this study, definitions and components of business models are discussed, according to the different approaches in modeling business models. However, merely having a good business model at the inception of a company is not enough; what is more important is utilizing and maintaining a proper business model over the life of the institution.The power of a business model is such that it can be a powerful tool for analyzing, testing, and evaluating organization's strategic options. Therefore, an organization business model evaluation as a strategic decision-making process will never stop and can be a basis for continuous improvement of the business. Business model evaluation differs according to the levels and units of analysis. In this study,by reviewing the different studies, the most important criteria and methods of business model evaluation has been proposed.Business models are the representation of businesses at a specific time. Rapid technological, economical, cultural and political changes lead to a more complex organizations environmentand dynamic business evolution. This causes instability of business models.   The main objective of this paper is employing main components of technology management to analyze and evaluate ICT sector situation in Iran compared with 35 selected countries. To this end, a conceptual model for technology management in ICT sector has been developed. Then a set of appropriate indicators have been determined and classified by expert panelists to measure core components and supportive components of proposed conceptual model. Considering proposed conceptual model and selected indicators, the cross section data was collected for 35 selected countries from official and widely accepted international reports and datasets such as WDI, ITU, etc. Finally, technology management components in ICT sector of Iran have been compared with 34 selected countries in terms of policy-making issues, facilitating innovation, research and development activities, human resources training, financial support, entrepreneurship enhancement and technology diffusion.   The literature existing in innovation evaluation can be studied in two ways: 1) innovation evaluation at company level 2) innovation evaluation at national level. Innovation evaluation at company level is useful to make decisions in allocation of resources for innovation activities, to choose the fields in which innovation is expected to produce high economical return, and also to manage innovation strategies inside the enterprises. At national level policymakers need the information acquired from innovation evaluation in studying the existing situation, future developments trend, getting feedback from positive and negative effects of the existing policies, and making appropriate policies. According to the literature related to the title of the study, we have tried to mention the similarities and differences of the studies done in innovation evaluation by contrastive analysis of them. In similarity section, innovation process and technological changes measurement are mentioned.   Business incubators are now recognized in both developed and developing countries as important instruments for promoting entrepreneurship development and technological innovation, specialy at the small and medium enterprise level. Development and proliferation of business incubators has generated an intense debate around their performance and usefulness between opponents and advocates of these organizations. Differing in perspectives, researchers have used different groups point of view to evaluate incubators performance. They have also limited their studies to particular type of incubators. Reviewing relevant literature in Iran and the world, this article has provided an integrated multidimensional framework to evaluation of incubators performance. The proposed framework suggests the performance of incubators can be evaluated in four areas: Management and staff, infrastructure, services and outputs. Performance in management and staff can be assessed in terms of management functions and learning and growth, in infrastructure in terms of location and space, and facilities, in service area in terms of business start up and business assistance, and performance in output can be evaluated in terms of business (companies), products (and/or services) and people. To evaluate each area of performance, generic measures have been derived from literature. The proposed framework can be used as a useful tool and a guideline to evaluate incubators performance by their managers, stakeholders and sponsors, particularly in Iran, in order to internal and external benchmarking and rising competition among and promoting competitiveness of incubators.   Self assessment is an interesting subject for all managers, especially for the managers of incubators. The incubator performance assessment by indexes (IPAI) is a simple, interesting and effective method for measuring the performance index of an incubator. The system is based on changing the scope of performance of several indicators to fixed scales (metrics), weighing them and combining them. Strategic evaluation is basically consists of three basic activities which are investigating the principles of the companies or organizations strategies, comparing the ideal and real results and making improvements. This paper focuses on the second part to make sure that the performance adjusts correctly with the planning programs. This paper is going to introduce an index for measuring and assessing the level of technology improvement in Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTTs) Incubator and Science Park.   Incubators have gained wide reputation in most countries as efficient institutions contributing to regional development and economic growth. They assist their clients through their value-adding services and a wide range of support services and facilities that cannot be easily procured from other sources. The content of these services and the way they are supplied will have important effects on the success of the incubators, and thereby, on the incubators’ performance. Introducing improved incubation models, informing incubators of their distance from acceptable performance norms and models, and disseminating incubators’ success stories among those involved in the industry will be tools that are expected to assist incubator managers to make more informed and enlightened decisions. The use of composite indicators is a simple method of comparing a wide variety of systems under evaluation such as countries and organizations dealing with a multitude of complicated and wide issues including environmental, economic, social, and technological. Normally, the main objective in defining composite indicators is to compare the performance of a group of subjects evaluated along a given dimension. These indicators can also function as useful tools in analyzing policies and in communication of information to the public. In this paper, first, a state-of-the-art account of constructing composite indicators will be presented and then a number of tentative composite indicators will be introduced. Special emphasis will be laid on key performance indicators used in ranking technology incubators with due regard to the Iranian business incubation environment.   Today, in different countries, paying particular attention to entrepreneurship and foster entrepreneurship, and create a favorable environment for its development, Considered to be as a particularly tool for economic development in developing countries. The need of organizations to the phenomenon of entrepreneurship has been led to the creation of a certain territory of this concept that is called organizational entrepreneurship. As far as organizational entrepreneurship are transformed to one of the strategic approaches in organizations, to achieve high performance and great success. Choose this approach is effective for organizations when we can evaluate the results and provide organizational goals with proper management. So, having appropriate indicators to be used for the assessment of organizational entrepreneurship is very important. Therefore, this study seeks to identify appropriate indicators to evaluate the performance organizational entrepreneurship. For this purpose, after reviewing research literature, were extracted performance evaluation indicators, and with the help of the framework of EFQM Excellence Model, were classified in 9 categories. After refining the extracted indicators and removal of repetitive indicators, the 63 index that had remained, to determining the most important indicators, was placed in the hands of experts in the format of a questionnaire and Finally, by analyzing data obtained, were identified appropriate indicators to evaluate the performance. Results of present study, presented 29 indicators in nine criteria of: Leadership, Strategy, Employee, Partnerships and Resources, Processes, Products and Services, Customer Results, Employee Results, Society Results and Key Results; as the appropriate indicators to evaluating the performance of organizational entrepreneurship.   According to the global approach of knowledge base economy in most countries, the creation of organizations such as science and technology parks seems to be necessary considering to their influence on the development of science and technology. The main purpose of this study, is to evaluate the impact quality of the service provided by science and technology parks on growth and innovative performance of firms located in these parks. This research is an applied one which was conducted as a survey in Pardis Technology Park, as the biggest and most important science and technology park of the country, and with the help of more than 30 managers in active firms of this park. In this research, the Cronbach's alpha and Average Variance Extracted was used to measure reliability and validation. Also, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (First and Second stage), correlation test and path analysis was used for answering the questions. Innovation aspect of the study is a new look to the impact of service quality provided by science and technology parks on growth and innovative performance of independent firms located in these parks. Results indicates that the most important factor for these managers is the reliability of the clients to the park. Park staff empathy with clients is also less important factor. Manuscript profile

  Science and technology parks are institutions supporting technology companies. The performance evaluation of technology companies will help them to improve their performance and make the park supportive services more effective and helpful. Performance evaluation is one of the most important priorities of Yazd Science and Technology Park. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to design and explain a performance evaluation model of technology companies in this Park and analyze the results of its implementation. The evaluation model of Park is based on various performance evaluation models and theories, as well as through brainstorming with park managers and technology companies. This model evaluates the technology companies in four areas: nature of the company, structure and human resources, main idea and technology, and market. The evaluation process is designed according to both quantitative (documents and non-confrontational??) and qualitative (face to - face interviews) indicators. Then, based on this model, information of technology companies are collected and analyzed by an evaluation system. The results of evaluation showed that although the status of companies is far from the park's expectations and goals, it is acceptable in comparison with the community (province and the average of country) in terms of the value-added of manpower and the cost of employment. Also, the analysis of the results represented the validity and comprehensiveness of the model in assessing technology companies. Manuscript profile

  Science and Technology Parks (STPs) and incubators, as major contributors to the economic development of the regional business enterprises, are committed to provide targeted support for entrepreneurs, improve manufacturing efficiency, and create economic growth in the community. In order to improve the impact of these supports, STPs and incubators periodically evaluate the activities of residents and, after identifying strengths and weaknesses, provide services tailored to each company's needs. However, it is worthy to ask, what indicators should the evaluation system include that can reflect a true and more comprehensive picture of the company's condition with presenting the company's core needs to the incubator manager? Therefore, in this research some general models of performance evaluation have been reviewed, and because of the benefits of BSC model, especially its compatibility to manufacturing SMEs, this system has been used for the principle of the current study. Then, based on 17 years experience of Khorasan Science and Technology Park in unlocking the region's manufacturing potential, and the opinions of experts in other incubators in the country and around the world, 104 critical indicators have been identified in evaluating the manufacturing SMEs. These indicators also were ranked using U Mann Whitney and Friedman statistical tests. The results showed that the "customer and market" is more important than the other three perspectives in BSC model, and "Market research" and "CEO capability and expertise" are the most important indicators and sub-indicators, respectively.   One of the key concerns of policy-makers to help develop and improve new businesses to promote innovation and economic growth locally and nationally. But there are two important points in between First of all is what components need to come together to form ecosystem and do its best and Second, what should be the evaluation framework of these ecosystems in order to examine the activities of the actors of this ecosystem. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find a framework for better assessing the ecosystem of startups and helping the local economy. For this purpose, after reviewing the research background and using library studies, the initial framework was designed and the final framework was adjusted through interviews with relevant experts and implemented in a case study in Bushehr province. Finally a framework with 7 main components and 68 indices was developed.   The purpose of this research is to identify and prioritize the criteria of knowledge management systems using BSC. The research method is descriptive-survey and the type of applied developmental research is Friedman and AHP ranking tracking method. Statistical population included all experts and top managers of Pars Khodro Company (157 people) and sample size was 111 people based on Cochran formula. Data were collected using a questionnaire designed by previous studies and expert opinions. Content validity index (CVR) was used to determine the validity of the questionnaire and Cranach’s alpha coefficient of 0.728 was used to determine its reliability. Data were analyzed using SPSS and EXPERT CHOICE statistical software. The results showed that: BSC's vision is financial, customer, growth and learning and internal processes respectively. From the financial point of view, the CEO's financial knowledge is the highest and avoidance of duplication of costs is the lowest, and from the customer's perspective, the highest priority is to improve the quality of customer service and the customer's least. And change in the system is the least important of the improvements, and lastly, the internal process view has the least degree of effectiveness of the system in achieving the most desirable organizational objectives and document size.
